Incredibleness

I'm not sure that is a word, but if it is not, it should be. Some incredible things happening for a lot of people in communitas right now. Yankee's house may be rented without even listing it, more irons have been put on the job fire for me, AND I went golfing yesterday. (I love superstar-shout out to my home girl.) Pastor gets a day off, and it is nearly 70 degrees out. It is a great place to be when the only way to get through something is to lean on him. So why don't we? Straight up now tell me.

Big Difference.

I heard my superstar say this to the girls this week: "Discipline sounds like something that is bad, right? But really, it isn't. It means to push yourself to doing something. Like journalling, reading your bible, spending time with God. That is a spiritual discipline. See how that isn't a bad thing?" For nearly four years now (you can get the full story if you look back to 2007 postings), I have certainly elevated my game in the area of spiritual disciplines. Reading the bible more than I ever did before, truly engaging with what God's desire is for my life, not just when it is convenient, trying to spend time being still and listening to what God has to say to me, and one thing I never really understood why superstar did it - journalling. I really started engaging in my morning "Java with Jesus" when I began to work for my company in the D. I would get up early to drive down Alter Road to the little park where the lake turns into the D river.

NASCAR is COMING. I Like Parties.

I haven't blogged about NASCAR as of yet, but that's because it's the off season. I am a certifiable NASCAR addict, junkie, whatever you want to call it. Always hated it growing up. Then I went to a race. Now I can't stop. I don't like most kinds of racing (although bus racing has caught my eye), but give me Cup, Busch-I don't care, I'm still calling it Busch, or Truck series, and I am happy like little school girl. And so, here it comes, and just for those of you that don't know me-here are some quotes I may have heard at NASCAR events: "I like parties." "Yup. Laid down by the generator, now he's dead."
