ARRIVAL OF COLLIN!!!


So I get the call on Saturday that mattsy and t's baby is on the way. I pray then for health and wellness, and a safe birth. From what I understand, t had to work hard, but all is well. When I got the picture, tears abound. God created this little boy for all to enjoy, so that we might see His hand at work in the world. God's beauty. Say no more.

I haven't talked to mattsy yet, but I have been praying for him and t. That God would reveal Himself and His plan for their lives through Collin. I pray for mattsy to become a Godly man, and teach his son what life is about, be a demonstration of humility, always communicate openly and honestly with his son, demonstrate love for his wife in a Godly way, teach his son about the way, the truth, and the life. I pray that God will use me to be a part of that life, and that I will be available to help mattsy and collin each day.

Mattsy sent me a text message after I sent one to say congratulations: "Thanks, he is awesome, can't wait for you to meet him." Tomorrow I am going to drop the chicas off at the airport to go to Harry's in FLA, and I hope to meet him then. Joy overwhelms me right now. Emotions force tears out of my eyes as I have hope in HIM that Mattsy will learn through being a parent just how much his father in heaven loves him. God bless the Walsh family each day.

Big Difference.

I heard my superstar say this to the girls this week: "Discipline sounds like something that is bad, right? But really, it isn't. It means to push yourself to doing something. Like journalling, reading your bible, spending time with God. That is a spiritual discipline. See how that isn't a bad thing?" For nearly four years now (you can get the full story if you look back to 2007 postings), I have certainly elevated my game in the area of spiritual disciplines. Reading the bible more than I ever did before, truly engaging with what God's desire is for my life, not just when it is convenient, trying to spend time being still and listening to what God has to say to me, and one thing I never really understood why superstar did it - journalling. I really started engaging in my morning "Java with Jesus" when I began to work for my company in the D. I would get up early to drive down Alter Road to the little park where the lake turns into the D river.

10 years in a day

So my days are beginning to run together, and the timelines in my brain are blurry after being on the ground at CEM for three days or has it been four? Either way, let's just say that one day in India is like ten years. That is a pretty good description of what reality is like here. Pastor said that sandrews said that on a trip here many years ago, and I was shocked by just how accurate of a statement that was. A day here can bring life events that you might be exposed to once in ten years living the way we live in the US of A. Here, life is hard. No matter what.
